Her experience working for the likes of Louis Vuitton, DKNY and BCBG reinforced her passion for fashion and allowed her to develop a style of her own. Her career path, however, later proved to be insufficient to her dream of opening her own store. On May 29, 2015, backed by the support of the great city of Long Beach, Scott opened the doors to 4th and Elm Boutique in honor of her late mother's birthday and the dream became a reality. 4th and Elm Boutique is owner Lori Scott's dream brought to life. Inspired by the images from fashion magazines such as Vogue and childhood memories of playing dress up in her mother's closet, Scott proceeded to work in the fashion industry into her adulthood.

“I have always wanted to open a clothing boutique since I was a little girl playing with barbies and plastic horses. I love people and fashion so I decided to move to one of my favorite cities and open up a unique clothing store in a unique city.
