Dr. Samawi enjoys staying active through working out and playing sports. He played football, basketball, and baseball while growing up and continues to struggle with his golf game. Prior to medical school he was a personal trainer and designed diets for both weight loss and for athletes trainging for competitions. He grew up in Chicago and is an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. "I am still awaiting the day the Cubs win the World Series." "There is no greater reward in life than knowing that I made a difference in the lives of my patients. I believe the first step in having quality care is to focus on developing a trustworthy partnership. I want my patients to be comfortable with me, and I encourage them to ask questions. I want to educate my patients on their ongoing treatmets, and empower them to take an active role in their physical, mental and emotional well being." ---Dr. Roger Samawi
