Local Artworks

Hi there! I'm Amanda Blaine, the owner/operator of Local Artworks! For the last 12 years I have been super busy working as a nurse and raising 3 amazing children. A few years ago I randomly picked up a paint brush on a Saturday afternoon, and in that moment the greatest love story ever told was born. I didn't just realize that I was an artist, I realized that we are all artists, waiting for that opportunity to create brilliant things. Teaching my very first class was nothing but pure happiness, so I said goodbye to the career I had invested more than a decade into, and I poured my heart and soul into Local Artworks. Come paint with me!

HISTORY

Established in 2016.

Local Artworks was started in 2016 when Long Beach local, Amanda Blaine, nurse and mother of 3, converted her 3 car garage into an art studio and opened her doors to the public. What started as a small side business to embrace her passion for painting and teaching art, snowballed into what is now a fully functioning, community conscious Paint & Sip art studio, teaming up with local artists and organizations.
